Dear medical student Our collaborative research group is looking for a motivated individual to join us for a year in a NIH and American Geriatric Society funded study to investigate fracture healing in an animal model. We are a diverse group of investigators including an MD-PhD orthopaedic trauma surgeon, a DVM-PhD veterinarian-scientist, and a veterinary surgeon-scientist, engineers, post-docs, graduate students, orthopaedic surgery residents, veterinary residents and undergraduates utilizing genetic animal models to study and enhance fracture healing. The primary PI is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon active in patient care, basic science and clinical research as well as medical student and resident education.
