Programming
1. Contact our surgeon volunteer base 15 months prior to the following year’s programming to collect their preferences for choice of location.
2. Confirm the dates and location of each of the programs one year prior
3. Collect the names and contact information for each of the local team members for each program
4. Discuss with Dr. Myerson and the host the optimal registration cost for the program
5. Collect profile pictures of each surgeon volunteer, lead surgeon, host surgeon and any other relevant emblems for the advertising flyer
6. Create a WhatsApp group for the host and surgeon volunteers six months prior to the program
7. Collect travel arrangements for surgeon volunteers to pass on to the host team.
8. Research visa requirements surgeon volunteers and send out interval reminders
9. Collect passport and license information numbers from surgeon volunteers
10. Generate the liability insurance for each program
11. Create google form and subsequent QR codes for registration and feedback survey.
12. Send the digital consent form for picture and videos to the host for patients and providers
13. Collect the surgeon volunteers updated lecture lists
14. Arrange and attend pre-op surgical planning meeting with Dr. Myerson

Surgeon Volunteer selection
15. Monitor the website for new surgeon volunteer applications
a. Generate a folder on the onedrive with the surgeon volunteer’s data
b. Immediately reply to the surgeon’s email informing them of one the committee will be meeting

16. Present the new applicants to the Medical Advisory Board

17. Write to each applicant informing them of their status

Steps2Walk residents and fellows program
18. Monitor the website for new residents and fellows who wish to apply for grant support
19. Communicate with them and Dr. Myerson in order to assign them to the appropriate program
20. Provide financial information to Mr. Tom Ferro on the expenses of this grant program


Meetings
21. Attend the communications committee weekly
22. Medical advisory board meeting twice annually and Board meeting semi annually (virtual)
23. Prepare to take the minutes for the meeting and present if necessary
24. Coordinate with Dr. Gurbani (MAB Chair) on any specific tasks for the medical advisory board


Telemedicine program
25. Collect and stay in close contact with each of the mentee surgeons
26. Connect them with Ohana One and ensure their training with both the software and hardware
27. Work with fellow intern and Dr. Myerson to set the schedule


It is a non-paid internship which requires about 6 hours of work weekly and can also include remote research with our team.
