The American Hip Institute is pleased to offer four (4) comprehensive Hip Preservation Fellowship Program positions for the 2023-2024 academic year(s). This highly specialized fellowship prepares trainees for a focused niche practice in Hip Preservation. Fellows with academic interests benefit from the strong research program, based in a collaborative learning environment. The fellowship is ideally suited for trainees graduating from a prior sports medicine or adult reconstruction fellowship, who wish to obtain further training in a secondary subspecialty program. However, application is also open to exceptional graduating residents.

12-month fellowship based in central Toronto with a mixture of sports, arthroplasty and trauma. Working alongside Dr. Veillette, Dr. Leroux, and Dr. Paul you will be exposed to complex shoulder and elbow procedures, including primary and revision arthroplasty, superior capsule reconstruction, tendon transfers, and fracture fixation. The fellow will participate in clinics, ORs, teaching rounds, and research. This fellowship is closely linked with the University of Toronto Sports Medicine Fellowship and combined opportunities for teaching, case exposure and research are available.

This fellowship focuses on adult LLD, malunions, nonunions, segmental bone defects, osteomyelitis, rotational muscle flaps, and joint infections. Fellows will learn to determine current LLD, evaluate limb alignment, and analyze single and multiapical deformities. The Adult Clinical Fellow will rotate with Dr. Janet Conway and Dr. Michael Assayag for eight months and with our pediatric orthopedists for a total of four months.

The Cleveland Clinic Florida Department of Orthopedics is pleased to offer a one-year combined Sports Medicine and Upper Extremity fellowship. Our combined fellowship offers unique opportunities to the aspiring Sports Medicine/Upper Extremity surgeons. Under the supervision of Vani Sabesan, MD, Gregory Gilot, M.D., Brian Leo, M.D., Farah Tejpar, MD, and David Westerdahl, M.D, this fellowship offers an outstanding diversity of experience in all areas of sports medicine, and upper extremity joint reconstruction. Fellows will be exposed to current arthroscopic and reconstructive shoulder, elbow, hand and knee procedures, as well as, minimally invasive and minimal incision total knee, elbow, and shoulder reconstruction including reverse and resurfacing techniques. The group provides care for professional and collegiate athletes and works closely with athletic trainers and covers local sporting events. Emphasis is divided between clinical, surgery and research. The preferred applicant will spend twelve months in a clinically-oriented program working on the services of Dr. Sabesan and Dr. Gilot, whose practice involves pathology and surgery of the shoulder and elbow and hand. Time will also be spent with Dr. Leo, one of our sports medicine specialists for both lower and upper extremity sports. This fellowship will also have a strong academic component and opportunities for research. Participation in academic activities of the department and completion of at least two publishable research project are expected.
