This ACGME accredited shoulder and elbow fellowship program at the Beth Israel Medical Center offers an extensive and comprehensive clinical experience in the operative and nonoperative management of shoulder and elbow disorders.  The fellowship is a one-year clinical program with a significant research component.  The Fellow is provided with the opportunity to work closely with the attending surgeons on the Shoulder and Elbow Service.  Exposure to patients presenting with a wide variety of pathology, including conditions of traumatic, degenerative, and athletic etiology is offered. Opportunity for additional pediatric and fracture surgery is available. 

The Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore invites all interested and qualified individuals to apply for a two-year orthopaedic research fellowship position with Michael Mont, M.D., Ronald Delanois, M.D., and Harpal Khanuja, M.D. 

This is a salaried position that will begin on or before July 1, 2011 and is open to all candidates who will be medical school graduates by that time. It presents an opportunity to work with national and international leaders in the areas of total joint replacement and osteonecrosis, to assist with FDA trials of new drugs and devices, to gather and analyze data, to attend and present your work at regional and national conferences, and to prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Previous fellows have published multiple PubMed-listed articles and have presented at the annual AAOS meetings during their fellowships. This is an excellent way to improve your CV and increase your chance of matching with an orthopaedic residency. Almost all of the previous fellows, including IMGs, have successfully entered U.S. orthopaedic residency programs.

We have an unexpected opening for an Orthopaedic Adult Reconstructive Fellowship position starting August 1, 2011.  The fellowship provides comprehensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of hip and knee joint replacement surgical techniques. The fellow engages in research studies of joint replacement, surgical techniques, and devices with the goal of improving skills and expanding knowledge.  As training progresses, the Fellow will assume a major role in the continuing care of patients and have progressive responsibility in patient assessment, preoperative evaluation, operative experience, training of residents and medical students, and postoperative management and rehabilitation.
