2010-11 Interview Offers

email from UVA today for interview. guess they are sending them out on a rolling basis.

Yeah. I got the same thing yesterday. Thought the exact same thing. Makes me think this could be the case with a good number of programs. Kind of an unspoken waitlist of sort...... More and more people will dropping interviews here in the next few weeks due to date conflicts. I'm sure we'll see more and more "rolling invites."

If you guys don't mind me asking... were you offered a choice of three different dates (i.e. a new offer and an indication of 'rolling invitations') or just one date (i.e. specific interview date dropped by someone else)?

Obviously, I'm hoping that it's true rolling invitations, and that there's still a chance that they have a fair number of interviews to hand out...

Either way, congrats to you both!

So I got offered 2 dates, 12/11 and 1/8. I talked to one of the residents and 12/18 is the rotator day or something like that. Hope that helps

What's the deal with Oregon? I read on the rejection thread that some have received rejections, but no invites as of yet? Kind of interesting...

In talking with some interns that went through this last year, if a school sends out invites and rejections and you hear nothing you are in limbo/pseudo-wait listed. I think that there are going to be more of those types of interviews going out once more people realize that they can't be in 5 cities at once...
