I don't think that's a fair statement.. interviews can be somewhat random when it comes to certain programs.. Ys, getting a bunch of 'good' interviews is common..but you never know which one you're actually going to get one from.

On an aside, i dont know if this has been mentioned before or not, do most programs email a rejection or do some programs just leave you out to dry... no invite, no wait list, nothing back?

it is notably a mixed bag when it comes to this. I would say that as a whole, most programs do send you the rejection notifications..which usually say 'you were a great selection, but we just can't offer enough interviews' or something like that to soften blow
