yeah I emailed back asking if I had been rejected or was still being considered and was told I was being offered an interview. I was excited. So then I emailed back my dates preference, only to be told in a reply that I wasn't being offered an interview after all.

Is there a difference between getting a rejection letter vs not hearing back from a program?

For instance, I haven't heard from Yale at all, but they've sent out interviews and rejection.
