Union Memorial sent me an interview invite. I wrote them to say I wouldn't be able to make it. Then they sent me a rejection letter.

Guess they really wanted to have the last word...

Just out of curiousity, has anyone heard of rejection letters that are a little more honest, like "your application does not meet our standards" or "you failed to complete xxx of the application" or "dude, come on... get serious!" I have heard they used to send out rejections like this (except the last one of course).

They are too afraid to do that now. Every rejection I got said something to the effect of "although we have many excellent candidates who apply, we are not able to offer every one an interview. Good luck blah blah blah..."
