Looks like at least one program got started early this year! Keeping with last year's format (which I found extremely helpful)...

Well, for one, it says unlike many other programs they actually admit they don't read your LORs before offering the interview. You'd be surprised how many programs don't read them until just before the interview. Other programs do use them for offering interviews, but it's so much easier just to set a cutoff for Step I, grades and so forth than to actually go through and read three letters from each of several hundred applicants.

I have a couple of friends at the Wayne State program, and from what I know of it if you get the interview I'd go.

Found in snail mail today, Oct 5th. Interview for Marshall University orthopaedic program in WV for Nov 20 and 21st. My app was complete by the date this was sent out.
