Replied by on topic Raven, i too sent in
Raven, i too sent in my email acceptance to new mexico and they haven't got back to me yet. might be worth a phone call, though i'm sure it's fine.

same thing has happened with albany, so i may call them as well if i don't hear in the next few days.

anyone else hear back from albany after they accepted an invite by email?

Replied by on topic I emailed New Mexico this
I emailed New Mexico this morning about it, and she emailed me back this afternoon confirming my first choice date. Not sure what the delay is/was all about.

Replied by ortho05 on topic so does the fact that
so does the fact that I haven't heard from Maryland mean that while I haven't been cut from the team yet, I can only hope to make JV?

Also, has anyone that did not rotate at UTSW hear from them at all?

Replied by on topic I talked to the coordinator
I talked to the coordinator at Maryland today. They divided the applications in half. One half has been reviewed and invitations sent for December 11. The other half is still to be reviewed, so having heard nothing yet is not necessarily a bad sign. Hope this helps.

Replied by on topic I say screw maryland. if
I say screw maryland. if I remember correctly, they had an early deadline of 10/15 and they can't get the invites out in time! i'm actually going to email them now to close my application b/c I really don't want to go to a program that handles their application process like this. they had to be the latest program to snend invitations for an early dec interview.

anyways, this brings up a new topic to consider, if you are a strong candidate and now have enough interviews. and some programs such as MD have yet to send out interview invitations for a date you know you don't want to go to, you may consider helping you fellow applicants by closing your application prior to invites being sent instead of just waiting to decline their offer. this way someone who would have been on the waitlist will get a 'first wave' invite. then again, there aren't too many programs left, but I have 3 in this situation which I will let them know. it will actually be nice to say: I reject you. I wonder whether they will still send me rejection letters just for the sake of it.
