I don't think so, cdaddio - at least I hope not! From what I've heard from residents and seen posted on this forum, it sounds like most programs offer interviews in waves. I think it's fair to say that the "first wave" was given out by Hopkins today, but if they reject everyone else they could screw themselves if the "first wave" applicants turn down interviews because of conflicts etc.

Then again, I didn't hear from Hopkins today, so this is what I'm telling myself...

Replied by on topic for those that applied to

for those that applied to hopkins,
can you assume that if you didn't hear today, you're not being inteviewed?
the email from friday seemed to suggest that all invitations would be sent out today.

yeah, i'm in the same boat. but following both the interview invitation and the rejection posts, it seems the rejections always come a day after the invitations. i think this is so they can see who will accept their interview. but yeah, as someone mentioned some programs have multiple dates and send out invitations in waves.

Thank you for your interest in our program. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you an interview. Should any of our invited interviewees decline their invitation, your application will be revisited.

Same here from Hopkins.

"Should any of our invited interviewees decline their invitation, your application will be revisited."

Keep us dangling, that's nice. I feel like a flat out "no" would have been easier.

Hopkins rejection:
It's like your hot girlfriend dumping you and saying, "Well, if that other guy doesn't want me afterall, I'll give you a call. Is that okay?"

Well, take it to hell with ya!
