I am looking to gain information from someone that has experienced an injury of the shoulder that caused the labrum to detach or tear.

Well I just joined or I should say found this site. I just had my labrum repaired (slap tear) surgically repaired. Wow I had to have the surgery done because the pain had really become an everyday thing. I could not even lean back on my elbows, I could not throw a ball. I had that achy feeling all the time. Anyways to make a long story short I bit the bullet and had it done. Well that was 7/17/09. My ortho was a great doctor. My PT is another story. It is very painful. I feel as if I am being tortured every time I go which is twice a week. I found out I will have to go for about 3 months. She just keeps pushing and pushing, She keeps telling me we have to get thru the scar tissue. She tells me I can't wimp out I have to keep going. NO PAIN NO GAIN!!! Geez almost makes me wish I had not had the surgery. Hopefully things will get better. right I guess a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. I guess it will just take time and alot of teeth grinding PT sessions. So anyway that my story. Have you had your surgery yet. By the way I did do cortosone and all conservative measures. I just had to have the surgery.
