The University of Minnesota Orthopaedic Trauma Research Fellowship will be available beginning in spring 2026. This is a two-year, funded, benefits-eligible position for medical school graduates, working under the mentorship of Peter A. Cole, MD in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN, within the broader NorthStar Trauma Network. The fellowship is a full-time, in-person, on-site role.
The Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute (AORI) is seeking 2 ambitious medical students interested in pursuing a year-long clinical research fellowship. This unique position will allow the research fellow to gain valuable exposure to hip and knee replacements with attendings, fellows, and faculty at AORI. The research fellow will have opportunities to assist attendings with research projects, publications, and presentations at major orthopaedic conferences. Since one of the goals of the fellowship program is to help applicants prepare for an orthopaedic residency, priority will be given to students who are between their 3rd and 4th years of medical school.

Dr. Stephen K. Aoki invites 3rd and 4th year medical students interested in orthopaedic surgery to apply for a one-year sports medicine research fellowship. At this time, we are only considering students from United States accredited MD programs. This is a full-time, paid position with the University of Utah. Past fellows have published in multiple journals and presented at multiple annual national orthopaedic meetings.
