This year's course will be held Saturday, September 1 - Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The core curriculum of this CME-accredited* course is based on the textbook, Principles of Deformity Correction, by Dror Paley, MD with editorial assistance from John E. Herzenberg, MD. The course is divided into morning lectures and deformity planning sessions with afternoon hands-on bone and cadaver labs.
One-half day is dedicated to patient demonstrations; patients - in all phases of treatment - will be presented so that the attendees can visualize the application of many of the techniques and devices taught at the course. A block of time has been set aside to enable participants to present adult and pediatric cases to their peers. Instruction is provided by an internationally renowned faculty and by volunteer workshop instructors comprised of former fellows of the International Center for Limb Lengthening.
* LifeBridge Health is accredited by MedChi, the Maryland State Medical Society, to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. LifeBridge Health designates this educational activity for up to 83.25 (cumulative of all pre-course, Baltimore Limb Deformity Course, and post-course sessions) AMA PR Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
