Rock Step I was created by ors
This is a repost my friend asked my post as he got a 258 using the formula. If you perform poorly in your first two years you should add more time.
"You can prepare for step I in three weeks if you have done your groundwork during your second year.
Here is what to do:
1. Buy BRS pathology and First Aid in year 1 of med school
2. Every week update these with hand written comments from your micro, physio, etc classes.
3. Buy some other review books that you like. I used high yield micro and the behav sciences one
4. Set a study schedule. My goal was 6 hrs per day for three weeks with 1 day off each week.
5. Work out or run every day (NO EXCEPTIONS). This was key for me
6. DO not underestimate fatigue in the test.
7. Start with 50 quest per day on QBank, then work your way up till you are doing full blocks.
8. For all the questions on Q bank add notes to your first aid.
9. The last three days just read your first aid (i.e. three times). Do not do any questions during this time.
10. Get up early the day of the test and get some exercise, eat, shower, etc
On the day of the test try to fly through the first few blocks so you still have stamina for the finish.
Bring snacks with you and if you feel you are slowing down take a break and continue. "
One more comment. I was given a copy of first aid 1/2 way through my first year. I wrote comments in this, then when the new copy came out (MS2) I bought it and transcribed all my comments. This was probably an additional review that I forgot to mention in my first post.
FYI. It has been 6 years since I took the test so the Q bank may no longer be the best question bank (or maybe it is). The rest of the program should work for you. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

I found the following system to get results: 250+
Resources: First Aid, Uworld, Rapid Review Pathology and BRS Physiology
Time frame: 6 Weeks (Sunday was study free)
Study time: 8am-12 with small breaks on the hour. Exercise. Repeat studies 2-6pm.
For your mental health take the night off or do light reading like biostats/ethics.
Practice Tests: I did one after week 3, 4 and 5.
Questions: 2 blocks daily
Perseverance and motivation are crucial. Good things come to those who grind! (within reason)
