Good classes for USMLE Step 1

Does anyone wish they would have taken some different classes in their undergrad so their first year and USMLE Step 1 scores weren't so bad. What classes did you find beneficial in undergrad (immunology, histology, A&P, Behavior, Pathophys, etc)

What do you think?

The only undergrad classes that may help make med school a little easier (apart from the basic requirements) are biochem, physiology and maybe anatomy. None of these are really needed, but it may make your life a little easier. I didn't think med school was nearly as difficult as I expected it to be. In fact, I rarely went to class and just studied on my own. USMLE Step I is all about med school stuff, so don't even start thinking about it as an undergrad. I did the full Kaplan USMLE review course and found it very helpful. Although it was 8 hours each day- it was the motivation and regimented schedule I needed. The lecturers are well spoken and up to date with the latest test questions.

At the least, the Kaplan books & Q Bank are top notch material. I used them almost exclusively despite owning NMS, Chung anatomy & Robbins path review. The other book I used a lot was Buzzwords for the Boards- quick Recall format was good even for watching TV or dropping a deuce bomb.
