The orthopedic bible. Not a book for students, b/c by the time you get into your residency, there is probably a new edition coming off the press. For residents, it provides the core knowledge of orthopedics and covers the bases of most subspecialties. It's a great set of books to have at home to look up particular procedures and the "classic" ways to do things. If you are pressed for time and can't read the last ten articles on a particular procedure or orthopedic problem, grab the appropriate volume of Cambell's and do a quick scan.
