4th year student here getting ready for interviews.
Needed an honest evaluation of my status.
Just got denied an interview from a program I rotated and got good feedback at.
Small southern medical school with no home program.

Numerous leadership positions including class president
Research is weak point:
1 major cohort study that has been roadblocked by loss to f/u.
1 case report that cannot be submitted due to patient permission pending.
1 very minor presentation for family resident didactic.
I currently have 5 interviews scheduled but have heard I need at least 10 to have a good shot.
What do y'all think of this application, and is my lack of published research gonna kill my chances?
