new residencys

are there much info about the new residencies in oregon and florida

I rotated at both. They are opposite ends of the spectrum.

The Largo program is tops. The PD is a great guy, the hospital is clean, cutting edge. The community is right on the beach. Hard to beat.

Oregon is kind of the opposite. The PD is a little "different." The rest is pretty much the opposite of the Florida program.

FYI, you didn't ask, but the Richmond (Ohio) program bites.

I just finished my rotation at the Oregon program and was very impressed. The attendings were fantastic and loved to teach. The PD is an great guy and is establishing a top notch program that has a lot of potential. The orthopedic interns are a great group of guys that love to teach. I would highly recommend this program.

I recently rotated at Good Sam in Oregon and loved the program. The PD is eccentric, but in a very positive way. The program is new and the faculty is still getting used to having residents, all are eager to teach and embrace residents and students in the OR.

Anyone else rotate at these programs? How about the program in Tennessee?
