St. James - Olympia Fields, IL was created by orthochido
Hey Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone could pass along any information about the orthopedics program at OLY. I tried looking for reviews on here, SDN, and the internet in general and was unable to come up with anything.

Basically, I was just trying to find out how is the program, whats good/bad about it, recommended, ect.

So if anyone has any current/past residents contact information, please let me know...Thanks in advance!

As I understand it, the DO Olympia fields program has an incredible training curriculum. The St. James hospital ortho program in Olympia Fields, IL has now signed a contract with Cook County Hospital. The ortho residents spend considerable time in their 2nd and 4th years at Cook County Hospital in Chicago for Trauma training. They train in Hand Surgery at Northwestern University. And they train with the famous Dr. Henry Finn for Joint replacement. Peds is at Shriners hospital in Chicago. Like all ortho programs, it is very competitive, but doing well on a rotation will help.
