For the SF match looks like we can choose from 3 letters of reference. I have 4 to choose from (Chairman (not in my subspecialty), PD (no fellowship), and 2 and in my prospective subspecialty area). Does it look bad if I pick either my Chairman/PD and then two from my subspecialty area? I was told that it would be a bad look but I figure that my PD would at least have a letter of good standing worst case. Thoughts? Thank you.
