I can comment on UCSF, NYU and Pitt. I would say NYU and UCSF were not thought very highly of in general by most of the applicants. I'm not sure if UCSF filled any of its spots but I know they had at least one opening and I did not get a good vibe from the place by the fellows when I interviewed. Interestingly, they were still pretty competitive with the people they chose to interview which may be why they didnt match again. NYU was ok... pre-interview dinner was a little weird and again I didnt have a great vibe from the program which seemed to be the concensus on the interview trail.

I actually liked Pitt a lot and would have been pretty happy had I matched there, but there were places I liked better. Donaldson is slowing down a bit and they just arent what they used to be. Would still be good training though.

USC is so-so. Although I didnt apply. Not super competitive to match at right now. Wash U is still competitive but isnt what it used to be. Probably still a top 15 place but from the sounds of it they really work you.
