Advice For Residency was created by kyoussef
Hi All,

I am currently a non training registrar working in the UK since my graduation. I graduated from Egypt in 2000. I hold a MB BCh, MRCSed and MCh Orth.

I really want to consider my options in obtaining an Orthopaedic residency post in the USA. Things like how hard is it for IMGs to go into residency?, what score is required? does previous orthopaedic experience make a difference?

If someone could help me to start from a point, I would be grateful.

K Youssef

I have just googled your question and found some useful posts on this site and others.

Then again, why bother depending on strangers? Just call up or email a program secretary and ask! They are often very up front about this stuff.

Best of luck.
