Basic Science Curriculum was created by albatross
For whatever reason, my residency program apparently needs to integrate more of a basic science curriculum into our weekly conference schedule. Just wondering if others would be willing to share how basic science is worked into their residency programs? Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks!

At our program, we use the AAOS basic science textbook and divide up the chapters into 2-3 per week. It takes about 6 wks or so to get through. A resident typically outlines the chapter and presents a powerpoint. This became a little tedious (boring), so we mix in some trivia style questions from the chapter to make it more interesting. Anyone else have any advice?

We use a similar program, but typically cover only 1 chapters each week, occasionally 2 when they overlap. We use old OITE questions and self-assessments to supplement and focus on key material. I think it works well.
