Do any of your programs get book funds? We get conferences paid for, but books previously were provided by industry, which is no longer allowed. We now need to make improvements.

What do you all get for books, and do you know what other programs get?

Thanks

At Umass we get in our intern year:

1) Miller Review, OKU 9, OKU specialities x 7 (sports, foot ankle, spine, trauma, pedi, joints, basic science), plus $750 of what ever other books that you want. Also we have the Self Assessment Questions from many years available and old OITE exams with answers written by residents.

As a PGY-2, we get the Campbells operative orthopedics 11 th edition from Stryker. Also we get $1250 of book money for the year.

From PGY-3 to PGY-5, we get $1250 each year for book money.

As a PGY-4 we get the Green's Operative Hand book.

Also there is the Synthes resident website which you can use to earn books every 6 months or so.

That is about it.
