Annual AAOS in San Fran was created by dukie11
Hey eveyrone,

I was going to attend the AAOS in San Fran this spring. Was wondering which courses would be the best bang for buck as I have a very limited budget. Also is that orthopaedic review course worth it or should I just sign up for other courses (which seems cheaper)?

Thanks

If you want to save money, there are plentyof things to do and see without having to spend money on instructional course lectures. There are lots of free symposiums. I would also suggest visiting the video sections and spend sometime watching surgical techniques.

If you are a senior, then the review course may be worthwhile just to jumpstart your studying for the boards this summer. I did take it and also bought the tapes (CDs now) and listened to them in the car for a couple of months. The course is very quick and is useful for mostly jarring your memory. That's about all it can do since it is all of orthopedics in 8 hours.
