Hi,

Are there any once-were-FMGs-but-now-are-American-orthopaedics residents on this forum?

I realise how competive orthopaedic training is etc but i imagine that some program directors must surely be interested in hearing from top calibre foreign medical grads. If any FMGS are out there please message a reply. I've got no interest in returning to to american medical school, languishing in unpaid research, or settling on poor programs but rather would be keen to have a chat to FMGs who were respected and taken seriously by program directors at good programs ....?

the only cases that i know of are FMGs who came to do a fellowship and then were given the option to do their whole residency again if they wanted to stay in the US. Even those instances are quite rare but they have happened.
