Replied by on topic Well i just matched but
Well i just matched but when I did my aways I read a few books from the new series Core Knowledge in Orthopedics ( spine, hand one) and I read Orthopedic Essentials ( foot and ankle and Trauma). I thought these weremoney. Its like a first Aid for Ortho. They are divided into specialties and are bulleted. They talk about exam imaging surgery anatomy. I plan to buy the Core Knowledge Series ( like 6 books) because I liked the format better but they were similar. These are made for residents and I think that since they just came out this year they will probably be very popular in the upcoming years especially for OITE review. They are like 99 a piece kind of alot since some are thin but I liked them.

Oh yeah and they summarize key literature on every topic and give citations for those people who like to quote stuff.

Replied by on topic if one has to choose
if one has to choose between orthopaedic surgery essentials vs. Core Knowledge in Orthopaedics, which is a better purchase and why? An info from users is greatly appreciated.

Replied by on topic well i like core knowledge
well i like core knowledge because it had a better layout and was a little less outline than essentials. Otherwise they have very similar content. you have to go see them to look at which format is more VISUALLY appeasing to your learning methods. But you should be straight with either one. I read trauma in essentials because the trauma in core knowledge is still on its way out in pub. Core knowledge is more like BRS series and Essentias is more like HIgh Yield books from the first 2 years of med school. Best I can do.
