Ortho Intern books was created by cain
Looking for a text not too overwhelming that can discusses operative treatment, practice of orthopedics. I checked out Miller - thought the outlines were a bit too technical for my level - though it looks like a great book if I understood some of the stuff in there. Any suggestions for texts?

Replied by on topic try baratz it will give you
try baratz
it will give you a pretty good starting point
i liked it

also, stick with handbook of fractures and netter's concise

one other incredible resource are the yellow journal articles
in 8 pages, they cover a topic from anataomy through treatment and follow-up

go to www.jaaos.org and search for the topic of your choice; the best ones for synopsis are the ones subtitled "evaluation and management"

then again, if you ask boneblaster, he'll tell you i'm retarded

Replied by cain on topic Thanx - as you can
Thanx - as you can tell, haven't cracked open a book yet for internship or even talked about it (just discovering the new area).

Though the residency has a surprising "pre-requisite score" for the ABSITE test. Is Sabiston the way to go here? What do people use for this?
