Replied by on topic I moonlighted by doing comp
I moonlighted by doing comp and pen exams at the VA. However, they only let you do that your last couple of years of residency. Others in my program did some urgent cares and one flew with the chopper.

Not all programs allow you to moonlight and most discourage it.

My program allows moonlighting as long as your scores/performance doesn't change. Chairman has to approve everything. We do everything from covering disability exams to ortho call at a private hospital. Our state requires a physician to be present if contrast (gad) is given for an MRI. Basically just sit there to make sure no reaction. Nice to get paid to read. All of our moonlighting is done on a pyramid system, seniors get first choice and the rest filters down.

Any other programs allow moonlighting.

Ohio State residents said they got to moonlight as much as they wanted during their 3rd year and beyond.

Any other programs?
