Adult Reconstruction Fellowship position at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, beginning August 1, 2017, has just become available.

This adult reconstruction fellowship in Tampa, Florida has been training post-graduate orthopedic surgeons since 1985. The fellowship covers a wide spectrum of complex hip and knee reconstructive problems and techniques that can only be experienced in a highly specialized, high volume referral center doing approximately 3900 hip and knee surgical cases per year. Four fellows work one-on-one with board certified, fellowship-trained faculty with extensive knowledge and experience with adult reconstruction surgery. The fellow will be an active member of the adult reconstruction team and have increasing responsibilities involving patient care, surgical performance, and staff education. He/She will be involved in state-of-the-art surgical techniques including less invasive surgical approaches, computer and robotic-assisted procedures, and revision arthroplasty.

Fellows are required to complete at least one research project during their training. Specific research requirements will be tailored to the individual candidate but each fellow will be required to actively contribute to new and ongoing projects where expectations for presentation and eventual publication are defined.

All applicant should be eligible for a Florida Medical License and have completed an orthopedic residency training program in the United States.
