Snibbe Orthopedics invites interested and qualified individuals to apply for a one year orthopaedic clinical research associate position. Snibbe Orthopedics is a busy general orthopaedic and sports medicine practice consisting of three fellowship trained surgeons located in beautiful Beverly Hills, California.

Potential research associates will become team members in our practice. You will have the opportunity to develop research protocols, organize IRB approved clinical trials, collect and analyse data, prepare manuscripts for peer review, and present your work at local and national conferences. Responsibilities will include: screening, consenting, and enrolling new study patients, managing a database including data collection and analysis, performing literature reviews, generating and revising manuscripts, and presenting study updates and results.

The ideal candidate would be: adept at writing and proof reading, proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), and capable of performing statistical analyses. We are looking for a proactive, organized, detail oriented student who demonstrates the ability to work independently as well as with the other members of the research team.

The goal of this position is for students who are interested in a career in orthopaedic surgery to have the opportunity to conduct clinical research and strengthen their application for admission to medical school or orthopedic surgery residency.

This is an unsalaried position, but offers the potential for first authorship of a manuscript as well as significant clinical exposure. A stipend of 10K will be available. The position is open to all pre-medical or medical school students/graduates with an interest in orthopaedic surgery.
