Cleveland Clinic, in collaboration with its spin-off company Custom Orthopaedic Solutions, invites interested and qualified individuals to apply for a one or two year orthopaedic clinical research associate position. We are offering an opportunity to work with national leaders in total shoulder arthroplasty, adult reconstructive surgery, and other orthopaedic disciplines to research and develop new orthopaedic technologies and imaging techniques. This is a salaried position that will begin approximately July 1, 2014 and is open to all college or medical school graduates with an interest in orthopaedic surgery.
Applicants will have the opportunity to develop research protocols, organize IRB approved clinical trials, collect and analyze data, prepare manuscripts for peer review and present work at national conferences. The research associate is encouraged to attend conferences, research meetings, grand rounds, symposia and journal clubs at the academic institution.
The goal of this position is for students who may be interested in a career in orthopaedic surgery the opportunity to conduct clinical research and strengthen their application for admission to medical school or the orthopedic residency match. Past clinical research associates have had success securing positions in medical school and orthopaedic residency programs.
