Guys, if it's 2 weeks before your interview and you still haven't found a switch-mate, it's time to let it go. You're probably not the only one with a conflict on X date, so the odds of you finding a last minute swap are nil. Besides making yourself and your school look horribly unprofessional by canceling at the last minute, if you wait any later most programs won't even bother re-offering your spot since they don't want to pressure applicants to pay exorbitant travel fees.

Agreed. Some programs will actually contact your dean’s office if you cancel too close to the interview date. It’s pretty poor form.
