As of 12/1:

Step I 240+, Step II 250+
Not AOA, mix of H/HP
Applied to 55
Offered 13
Canceled 1
Rejected by more than offered at this point

This process is crazy. I've gotten straight rejections from "backups" and offered interviews at "long shots". I have no idea what to expect anymore.

Hopefully everything works out for everyone...

Remember, not everyone is bragging about all their offers... It's just like playing cards- it's never good to A) show your cards, or B) count your chips at the table. Bad Karma

My intention is not to brag, and a bunch of interviews does not guarantee anything. I put up this information in accord with the title of the thread. I have neither "shown my cards" nor "counted my chips": I'm just trying to get through this like everyone else, nervous about what happens.

Replied by on topic As of 12/1: step 1 240+ step
As of 12/1:

step 1 240+
step 2 in January
AOA
1 ortho research project, 1 non-ortho research project, but no abstracts, presentations, or pubs
applied to 90( I have no home program and based on my offers, I don't regret applying to so many)
offers at 19
cancelled 4 due to purely schedule conflicts
rejected at 34(7 today)

My interview offers are all over the place in terms of region and prestige. I've been just as successful out West and East as I've been within my region(Midwest). I applied to a lot of programs, but if I had only applied to 40 including the 34 places I've been rejected, I'd be worse off right now. The programs I've been rejected at are varied enough in region and prestige, it could have very well happened like that.

Since I started the thread, I suppose I should update...

All H/HP first 2 years, H/HP(mostly) with 1 P in yrs 3/4. +Research. Non-AOA. High 230's on boards.

Total Apps: 60
Interview offers: 14 (two of which are from aways, one off wait list)
Cancellations: 3
Rejections: 30
Wait List: 4

Mostly midwest (my region) - but a few outliers. I'm hitting most of my "safety" programs and only hit two that are probably a stretch.

I have about 10 programs yet to hear from... so we'll see. I was hoping for a few more, but I'm pretty average, so I'm not too bummed having 11 scheduled.
