im curious about pitt too. they sent out interviews really early -- i think it was 10/12 or something. i noticed on their website they said the app deadline was 11/1, but then if you clicked the link for application process it said the deadline was 10/15.

i wonder if they way they sort out applicants is based on application date-- i.e. once they fill up the interview slots with talented/qualified folks, that's that. anyone whose app rolls in after that point is SOL. i guess thats a decent enough way to draw the line, but still, i kinda wish they would have (1) made their deadlines consistent, or (2) just made the deadline something like mid september. it kind of doesnt seem entirely fair that theyd say: deadline is 10/15 and 11/1, but oh yea, we have already given out all our interviews as of 10/12. so spend your money to apply, but recognize youre not buying anything...

anyone have any thoughts?

We regret to inform you that your ERAS application for consideration into the DMC/Providence Orthopedic Residency Program failed to meet at least one of the following basic requirements:
1) USMLE Step One Score of 210 or above; and/or
2) U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
Unfortunately, we will not be extending an invitation to interview you for the 2010-2011 Program Year.
