this is a little off topic, but does it make sense to get interviews at Pitt, Duke, UNC, and Mayo and then get rejected early from Georgetown? I'm just trying to get a sense for how this interview process works. RonBurgundy is obviously a strong candidate, so why the early rejection from Gtown?

Don't bother. It's random/lots of factors get taken into consideration.

For example, I got an interview from Georgetown, but have yet to hear from Duke and UNC. Plus I got rejected from MUSC.

So in conclusion, Georgetown says yes, Med University of South Carolina says no. Sounds about right.
