How many LORs is too many was created by kool bones
Sorry if this one has already been asked. How many LORs is too many? I have 3 from my home program and I am doing 3 aways. Would sending more than the requirement be inappropriate?

Replied by on topic I know some programs say
I know some programs say they want "at least 3" and some say they want "3". I know ERAS allows us to upload 4 letters to each school. Is it okay to just send 4 to each school or are any programs going to get upset with 4 letters? I wonder because I want to show I have letters but I also don't want to send more than necessary and come off looking like a jerk or, from what i've read here, having my application thrown out because i "didn't follow directions." Any help from the attending here would be very helpful.

I assume if a program says "at least 3" it's okay to put 4 up. I'm more curious about the ones that say they want "3 letters".

Thanks
