Dr. Levine,
I was wondering if you could further comment on doing a research year vs prelim in general surgery. Unfortunately, I did not match this year. I thought I had a good application with >240 on Step 1 and >260 on Step 2. Throughout medical school, I worked on several project and had a few publications. Although I enjoy doing research, I am not sure if I would have a greater chance of getting into Orthopaedics as compared to doing a prelim year.
Thank you

All I can recommend you is to never give up trying. Believe in yourself and everything will be OK. Wish you luck!
