I'm currently a prelim resident completing my PGY-1 year and also applying for orthopaedic residency on the east coast (NY). I have been informed that I'll be ranked to match. While I am obviously excited by this, I am also interested in any available ortho PGY-2 positions starting in July 2018, preferably in the NY/NJ area (but I'm happy to explore all options).
A little about me:
I am a graduate of a US allopathic medical school (east coast). I took the OITE this year, scored >60th percentile. I have over 50 orthopaedic publications indexed on PubMed, 4 ortho book chapters, >10 conference posters/podium presentations (including AAOS). I am certified in BLS/ACLS/PALS until Spring 2019.
NRMP rank lists are due on Feb 21st, so I would need to make a decision before then. If anyone has info about available PGY-2 ortho positions, or if you have questions for me, please email me at ny.orthores@gmail.com .
