Hello,
Iâm looking for a PGY-2 position starting July 2013 or PGY-1 starting now.
Although I am not in a residency program at the moment, I am eligible to resume one.
I have worked in the Department of Orthopaedics at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center as a clinical and research fellow for past 5 years. It was my responsibility to help organizing and to supervise the workflow of the in-house orthopaedic service. That included admissions, floor and ER consultations, inpatient patientsâ care and discharges. From the moment I started I am an active link coordinating the team of orthopaedic attendings and the team of PAâs. On top of my âon the floorâ responsibilities I first assisted to over 540 orthopaedic cases including joint replacements, shoulder and knee arthroscopic procedures, ACL reconstructions, spinal surgeries, foot and ankle, and hand cases.
While at BLHC I did not limit my activities to the clinical part only. I have participated in the following publications and presentations:
Kirschenbaum IH, Hanulewicz P, âRemoval of a well-fixed trabecular monoblock total knee replacement â instructional video presentation.â - accepted for presentation on The AAOS 2013 Annual Meeting
Blitz NM, Hanulewicz P. Evaluation & Management of Flexible Pes Planovalgus (Flatfoot)

Auerbach JD, Hanulewicz P, Rundell SA. Semi-rigid lumbar spinal stabilization lowers screw-bone interface strain compared with PEEK and Titanium rod systems in healthy and osteoporotic spines. 4th Annual Meeting of the Lumbar Spine Research Society, Chicago, IL, May 5-6, 2011.

I have previously completed PGY1 and PGY2 in General Surgery.
I appreciate any info regarding any open positions.
