Just for clarification:

I have already completed a surgical internship, so I'm technically a PGY2 right now. Would I be eligible for the position? (I currently do not have a categorical orthopaedic position)

Can we assume that this position is opening immediately (ie, as soon as someone is selected)?

We are looking for someone who has completed a surgical internship and is looking for a categorical orthopaedic position starting immediately. We will also consider current Pgy-2 or 3 orthopaedic residents who are looking to change residencies.

I called one of the residents in the program today. He said they filled the position. By the way, if you are in a residency program and want to swap, don't quit before you line up another.
