It takes much courage and introspect to look deep into one's surgical soul and realize I may not have what it takes.
I would highly recommend a "vision quest". This involves the use of much alcohol and atypical anti-psychotics. You must live in a tepee high above the sea level, where the air is thin.
I would take along a bag of payote and several different Rosetta Stone CD roms, so you may learn the ancient languages spoken by our medical collegues. Perhaps, using primitive tools like sharpened stones and sticks will enable you to practice on your own tibia.
I would consider making splints out or palm leaves and joining the cast of "Survior" as the doctor on the island.......
Perhaps you may get a job in non-operative orthopaedics, using ancient
modalities like manipulations and accupuncture...perhaps you can add techniques like piercing using sterile techniques to add cash flow.
Jeff Smoker told me to have him PM you so you can borrow his Miller Review books on tape
