The UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Orthopaedic Residency Program has an opening for a PGY3 resident to start effective July 1, 2009. We are currently accepting applications for this position. If you're currently a PGY2 resident in good standing and have interest in applying for this position, please send the following documents:

-Cover letter - addressed to the attention of Charles J. Gatt, Jr., MD
-CV
-USMLE Step I, II & III Scores (Official)
-ERAS application with supporting documentation; personal statement and medical school letters of recommendation and OITE scores.

That's not true. Two PGY3 positions did open up this year but neither individual quit. One resident transferred to the University of Chicago (a fine program indeed) because of family commitments. The other was not retained for the coming year for various reasons. I can assure you that we have a fine program and a great group of guys (and girls!). Neither instance should by any means reflect badly on the program.
