Hey guys,

I'm an 2nd year ortho resident from Australia who is now looking to transfer to an American residency program to appease my American wife

(And because I genuinely love the country).

I have significant operative experience and have passed all the USMLEs etc but unfortunately my prior experience is still not recognised by US governing authorities so I'd need to restart from the PGY-1 level. I'm going to go through the Match next year but I also realise that occassionally programs loose residents (eg illness, change of career goals etc).

If anyone ever knows of a PGY-1 spot suddenly becoming available please let me know or let your program director know of me.

As an experienced, willing PGY-2 I'd be a great person to step in to fill a vacancy.
