Do PGY-4 spots ever open up? I may be need to switch locations due to a family situation. How feasible is this?

There is a post from March 27, 2007 from University of MN:

An opening for a PGY4 resident will be available starting June 25, 2007 at the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Interested parties should email the Residency Program Director,
Ann Van Heest, MD at vanhe003@umn.edu

Just a reminder, you need to do the last 2 years of the residency at the same institution to be able to sit for the board.

I hope it will help.
