I am a PGY4 about to be 5 in a program that is in a crisis situation. We are at risk of folding and I was wondering in anyone had info regarding placement of residents that get displaced from folded programs. We have 15 guys that may need spots????

How are you going to do this? You are supposed to do your 4th and 5th year at the same program to be board eligible.

Replied by on topic I know somebody that did
I know somebody that did his 5th year and 1 year of fellowship at the same institution, this way he fulfill that requirement (the last 2 year of "trainning" should be at the same institution)

Double check this with the AAOS.
