We serve a population base of over one million and a 10,000 square mile footprint. There is a high volume of multiply injured patients with complex fractures and also general fracture care including pediatrics and geriatrics.
We are five fellowship trained traumatologists and run a formal orthopaedic fracture room seven days a week. The fellow will be expected to take call and participate as part of the orthopaedic trauma team. There will also be the expectation to participate in resident education and produce at least one research project of publishable quality. There is the opportunity for post traumatic management of malunions/nonunions and leg length discrepancies. Optional exposure to other sub disciplines is available as well.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- obtain full medical license in the state of Virginia

- have completed an certified orthopaedic residency training program
Foreign medical graduates are eligible if he/she has completed accredited residency training and are a permanent resident of the USA. Individual requiring visa sponsorship are ineligible.
We are not currently participating in the match, and this is a non-accredited fellowship. We will accepting two fellows at this time.
