Exciting Clinical Research Fellowship Opportunity in Orthopedic Spine Surgery
Dr. Zeeshan Sardar, in collaboration with the National Spine Health Foundation (NSHF), is seeking a highly motivated 3rd/4th year medical student for a prestigious year-long clinical research fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge research while significantly enhancing your competitiveness for the residency match. Applicants can be Columbia University or Non-Columbia University medical students/graduates who are interested in spending a year of orthopedic spine research. Potential clinical research fellows from external programs must have proof of enrollment throughout the duration of the visit in a non-Columbia University degree program, either at the undergraduate or graduate level. External applicants must also have proof of housing in New York at no cost to the student (e.g., a written letter signed by a family member/friend confirming they are living in the same household).
At first glance, the manicured greens of a golf course and the sterile environment of an orthopaedic operating room may seem worlds apart. One is a sport enjoyed for leisure and competition, the other a high-stakes medical discipline. However, a closer look reveals a surprising number of shared demands on those who pursue excellence in either field. In fact, the very elements that contribute to peak performance on the fairway – hydration, focus, and sustained energy – are equally crucial for orthopaedic surgeons navigating complex procedures. This is where a functional hydration beverage like COURSE RECORD, while designed for golfers, can offer significant benefits to the orthopaedic community, bridging the gap between athletic performance and surgical precision.
