Hyderabad: The Indian orthopaedic device market is expected to grow around 20% a year for the next decade to reach $2.5 billion (Rs16,000 crore) by 2030, according to a new report titled “Indian Orthopaedic Devices Market” by consulting firm Sathguru Management Consultants. This is evident in the ophthalmic ultrasound and fundus camera markets, where Italian and other foreign manufacturers are entering the market with lower cost options. The overall market for diagnostic and interventional ophthalmic devices is dominated by three segments: ophthalmic viscoelastic devices (OVDs), intraocular lenses (IOLs) and ophthalmic lasers.
